Rincón

Rincón is located in the Western Coastal Valley where the Atlantic Ocean meets the Caribbean Sea. We drove through the arch of the town.

We had hopes of snorkeling in the Tres Palmas Marine Reserve at Steps Beach. However, since it is winter, and surfing season, the water was too rough.

Steps Beach got its name from the set of steps that clings to the beach.

We went to the Rincón Lighthouse and Park. (Punta Higuero Lighthouse and El Faro Park.)

Punta Higuero

To the right of the lighthouse is Domes Beach, one of the best surf beaches. It is named for the nearby dome (hiding in the trees) of the old nuclear plant that is being converted into a Science Center and Museum.

To the left of the lighthouse is Indicators Beach.

We ate at Jack's Shack, a wagon selling food, close to the lighthouse.

We had fish tacos.
